YOT 41: European Powerboat of the Year 2025 Award
As every year, the world's largest and most important boat and water sports fair Boot Dusseldorf 2025 has seen the traditional award night go down in anticipation of the European Powerboat of the Year awards for 2025 - arguably the highest yearly recognitions for a new design - or shortly yachting Oscars. .
The boating journalists have thoroughly tested and judged the different boats awarded in the Powercat of the year 2025. Competing against big players like Dracan 42, Four Winns TH 36 Foil, Kattum 28 and the Makai M 37, the YOT 41 has impressed the journalists with its design, performance and amenities.
Groupe Catana is building a strong base after the 36 Yot catamaran presented last year in Cannes, while creating a benchmark for the next models to come. The YOT 41 has been named the winner in the category of Powerboat catamarans.

International Boat Industry article on the J&J Design book celebrating the firm’s 40 years
J&J Design has recently released the book Forty Years of J&J Design Studio published by leading Croatian boating publishing house Morski Vodiči. The article was kindly written by Ed Slack of IBI media and is available for download in PDF form.

Aquila 42C and 46C Powercat coupe to debut at the 2025 Miami Boat Show
The 2024 Miami boat show has been chosen as the venue to unveil the new Aquila 42C and 46C coupe versions. J&J started to work for Aquila at the foundation of the company in 2011, and is honoured to assist the development from greenfield to the status of the largest power catamaran builder worldwide.
As a continuation of the15 year-long cooperation with the Aquila brand, J&J design has worked on the concept, naval, design and engineering aspects for the 42C coupe version. The twin-stepped hulls, combined with the Aquila AHG foiling system, make these newcomers a force to be reckoned with.

Driving forces in the boat building sector

A Monograph of J&J Studio Published
We are proud to announce the publication of the monograph entitled Forty Years of J&J Design Studio. The book covers the (first) four decades of the work of our office.
In December 2023 the work was published by Pomorski vodici, the leading boating publishing house in Croatia. It contains 320 pages, 65 drawings, 146 colour photographs, ten illustrations, six tables/diagrams and 43 hand painted portraits of the boating legends our studio worked with during the past 40 years. The material is divided in three main parts : The History, The 40 selected boat projects, and The Work.
