Boating is fun

In 2020, J&J teamed with the Finnish company Saxdor Yachts and their chief designer, Scandinavian powerboat guru Sakari Mattila (of Equator/Paragon/XO/Axopar heritage), envisioning a modern range of daytrip and weekend program boats, outboard-powered, seaworthy, practical, mighty strong—and very fast and fun to drive.

Saxdor is headquartered in Helsinki, with boats are built in Elk, Poland. Mercury was chosen as the propulsion supplier with a new range of beautiful engines, and equipped with all fully-integrated technical environment and instrumentation.

After the 20-feet entry model, proposed for grown-up jet-ski population was received by the wide spectrum of public in all markets (“You can take your mother-in-law for a ride”, as a UK powerboat expert wrote…) a 10 m boat was designed by us: the Saxdor 320. Several versions were offered: open, hard-top and enclosed cabin (which allowed for heating in moderate or cold climates, and air conditioning in warmer ones) for a range of sailing programs in different climates and boating cultures.

The Saxdor 320 was pretty, and very fast (another comment: “50 knots is a ride in the park...”). Easy and fun to drive in all conditions, she was innovative in many ways, with a very practical deck layout and a compact but comfortable interior.

The company sold over a thousand of the Saxdor 320 boats in the first months after her launch: possibly the bestselling boat of its size, ever. The new Saxdor brand became the fastest growing new powerboat brand in the world. Equally well received by clients and by the media, she won the Best of Boats international award in 2021, and Motorboats Award in UK in 2022.
